My thoughts after the taste test

Today’s unboxing is a kind of mini bun I stumbled across a while back while browsing Don Quijote. The label said “cherry blossom flavored mini buns,” and before I knew it I’d grabbed a pack. Let’s hurry up and dig in.

These mini buns are priced at NT$160, with 8 little pieces inside. The moment I tore the pack open, a real fragrance came wafting out and I couldn’t help wondering — is this actually cherry blossom? But thinking it over carefully, it didn’t quite match. It was more like the smell of a freshly baked dessert or sweet bread. If that’s what cherry blossom smells like… I guess it’s not bad!?

Biting into one was a bit of a surprise. I’d expected a bun with a special flavor, but instead all I got was a mouthful of pure sugar. It was way too sweet! How do you even make something this sweet? Not only is the filling sweet, the bread on the outside is too. Honestly, I’m just not a fan of this one.
