What If the World Ran on Parkour?
Intro
What if the whole world ran on parkour? Like, you’d have to clear a parkour course before you could even leave the house in the morning. The harder the course you can beat, the nicer the house you get to live in. And get this… what if you could even bribe officials with parkour?
If you’ve ever pictured a world like that, you have to check out this feature-length video, “Minecraft but I survive in PARKOUR CIVILIZATION [FULL MOVIE].” It’s shot entirely in Minecraft and tells the story of a world built on parkour, where literally everything has to be accomplished through parkour.
The moment it dropped, it absolutely blew up in the overseas Minecraft scene, racking up over 13,000,000 views in less than two months. It’s not exactly shot with professional techniques, and the sets are pretty simple, but the story and the way it’s told will smooth your brain right out.

The hero of the story is “evbo,” who lives in this parkour-powered world. But in this world he’s a “parkour noob”
. Parkour noobs are the lowest rung of humanity in the parkour world, and above them are the “parkour pros.” evbo has never once seen what the world above looks like. More precisely, not a single parkour noob knows what’s up there.

There’s actually very little a parkour noob can do. You live in an unremarkable little house, you never get enough to eat, and because you’re underfed, you can’t run (that’s a Minecraft mechanic). Every day, parkour pros come down from the upper level to feed people like evbo. You can choose to do a single-block jump to grab some raw chicken, or jump up a single block to grab some raw beef, which fills you up more. But every decision you make is a matter of life and death. One slip, one failed jump, and you tumble into the abyss and vanish from this world forever.
After a while, everyone down on this bottom level gets one shot at a
“turnaround.” Every so often, a parkour challenge is held in an open area, and if you clear it, you earn a ticket to enter the “Tower of Parkour” (that’s my own translation). At the very top of the tower is the entrance into the world of the parkour pros.
