How to get to The Who Cafe
The Who Cafe is near Yongkang Street in Taipei, very close to Dongmen MRT Station, about a 4-minute walk away. That said, like most storefronts in Taipei, the entrance is tiny and pretty easy to miss. It actually took me a while to find it the first time.

I went on a weekend, so the place was completely packed. Since I didn’t have a reservation, the staff took my phone number and suggested I wander around the area for a bit. After waiting about half an hour, it was finally our turn.
The cafe is on the second floor, and the moment you walk up the stairs you’ll see the entrance. The whole space is thoughtfully designed too, with great natural light and a layout that never feels cramped.

The Who Cafe’s two super cute cats
The Who Cafe’s star attractions are its two adorable cats! One is a little gray cat named Loki, and the other was asleep the whole time so I never got to see it. Our seats happened to be right on the window ledge, conveniently right in front of Loki’s bed, so you can eat and pet a cat at the same time. Super convenient.
Loki himself is SO! CHONKY! and incredibly friendly~ He’ll hop right up in front of you for pets, and he barely ever gets grumpy — you can even touch his little paws.

Every corner of the shop is filled with cute cat motifs — even the coffee itself. This is a hot latte topped with a lovely 3D cat-face latte art, though it didn’t last long: as soon as I’d fed the camera, I reluctantly had to wreck it.

The Who Cafe main dishes
As for the mains, there are plenty of options to choose from — beef, pork, chicken, and other meats. Most of the dishes aren’t heavily seasoned yet are still really tasty, and they even rotate in limited-time menu items every now and then. I ordered the spicy chicken thigh set and upgraded to the cream cheese rice.

The set comes with three different sides, and the selection changes every day. Each side has just a touch of seasoning, so even eating them on their own never feels boring. Personally, I HIGHLY recommend upgrading to the cream cheese rice! The very first bite hits you with rich cheese powder blending perfectly with the rice. For me, rice usually needs other dishes or a thicker sauce to be easy to eat, but this one I’d happily eat plain. After half a bowl, once you’ve polished off the cheese powder on top, you’re left with just a faint milky aroma — and then pairing that rice with the meat and veggies is absolutely perfect! On top of that, if you’re still hungry, you get one free refill of rice or noodles, and the refill is the upgraded rice too. Such a steal!
And somehow I completely forgot to take a photo of the chicken itself~
