Have You Tried This KOOL Slush Flavor Yet? — Classic Dark Magic Latte
Meow meow, hello everyone! Welcome back to Mydondon after a week off. Today I’m taking you along to try the KOOL Slush I literally just had in the middle of last night, but the whole story actually starts in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Intro
I still remember that night when, for whatever reason, I just couldn’t fall asleep and was scrolling my phone, slowly wasting away. Then, with my famously weak willpower, I suddenly got a craving for soft serve. FamilyMart seems to have launched a new soft serve recently, so I decided to go try it out for you all.
“Excuse me, do you sell soft serve here?” I asked the moment I stepped through the FamilyMart door. And the second the words left my mouth, I already knew the answer—turns out not every FamilyMart has soft serve!
I had no choice but to head out again. But hey, with convenience stores like FamilyMart, there’s one every few blocks—how could I give up so easily today?! And so my soft serve quest began.
So I went from one FamilyMart to the next. By around the fourth one (at which point I was nearly a kilometer from home), I figured this had to be the last stop of the day. The moment I walked up to the counter, I spotted the soft serve machine sitting there all pretty behind it.
“Excuse me, do you have the limited-edition flavor soft serve?” I said it cheerfully, completely unable to hide the excitement bubbling inside.
“That’s only available in the mornings!”

No~ then how am I supposed to keep on living~ I need that beautiful soft serve! Crushed with disappointment, I turned to the freezer to look for something that could save my life, and in the end I picked a KOOL Slush that I’d heard was pretty tasty—time to put it to the test. I went with the Classic Dark Magic Latte KOOL Slush, so let me give you a quick rundown below.

For this cup I chose to microwave it a little, so it ended up tasting a bit like a slightly watery Slurpee. I think if you went straight in with a spoon and scooped it instead, you might get a different flavor that could be even better. The first bite hit me with that latte taste—bitter and sweet, kind of delicious, I was totally in love. But I immediately noticed one big problem with this cup: after eating the latte flavor for a while, my taste buds went a little numb, and all that was left was the chocolate.
I thought the chocolate was pretty generous—you get chocolate in every single bite! But I feel it would be even better if it were ground a little finer, otherwise it gets stuck in your teeth, which is honestly kind of annoying. Overall, I think this flavor is pretty tasty and I can recommend it to everyone. Having it once in a blue moon is fine—after all, that sugar content is absolutely terrifying!
